Rift, no rift and what not - There has been a lot of talk pertaining to the understanding between former India skipper Virat Kohli and the incumbent skipper Rohit Sharma but a heart-warming video of them hugging each other after India’s win in the third T20I has put everything to bed and proves that there was no substance in those talks that were lingering around.
Chasing 187, captain Rohit Sharma was dismissed early along with KL Rahul but it was Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav who kept India in the match. Despite playing some good cricket in the middle, the Men in Blue were under immense pressure of chasing down 11 in the final over of the game.
However, the cool and composed Hardik Pandya hit a boundary on the penultimate delivery of the match to help India win the three-match T20I series.
As soon as the winning runs were hit, celebrations began in the Indian dressing room. Virat and Rohit were spotted sitting on stairs and were delighted with the win and hugged each other in merriment. The video instantly went viral on social media with more than a million views.

The biggest positive was different individuals stepping up and delivering: Rohit Sharma
After a terrible time in the Asia Cup, the India look desperate to get their hands on the T20 World Cup trophy. Ravindra Jadeja’s injury during the Asia Cup had become a major headache as it has ruled him out of the upcoming T20 World Cup but after the bilateral series against Australia, Rohit Sharma and company will be much more relaxed.
Axar Patel, Jadeja’s replacement was adjudged the Player of the Tournament as the left-arm spinner was terrific with the ball. Being a solid hitter, he can also be promoted up the order whenever needed. Suryakumar’s return to form is also a massive plus point before the global tournament and so is the return of Jasprit Bumrah to the squad.
“The biggest positive was different individuals stepping up with the ball and bat. When you are sitting back and watching all of that happening, you feel nice as a management,” said the captain after beating Australia by six wickets in the third T20I at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
