SA20 Auction: Paarl Royals full squad and Players List for the inaugural season

The inaugural season of the SA20 League is slated to start next year with the auction being concluded on September 19 (Monday). All six teams have finalized their squad for the inaugural season with Paarl Royals having a good outing during the bidding event.

The franchise had previously announced its skipper in form of David Miller and they made some handy picks during the auction. Apart from some international stars, the Royals have also bagged some experienced local players.

English trio of Jos Buttler, Jason Roy, and Eoin Morgan to represent Paarl Royals

The Royals have picked England's T20I skipper Jos Buttler who has been in impressive touch in the limited-overs formats. Apart from Buttler, another swashbuckling English opener Jason Roy has also been named in the Royals squad. The right-handed batter is not at his personal best, but he can be quite dangerous with the bat. 

The Royals have also bagged England's World Cup-winning skipper Eoin Morgan, who had a good stint during the 2022 The Hundred competition. Morgan can help Miller in marshaling the troops and he can be quite deadly with the bat during the death overs. Apart from these three English players, the Royals have also purchased experienced South African wicketkeeper-batter Dane Vilas to beef up their batting order. 

In South Africa players, the likes of Lungi Ngidi, Tabraiz Shamsi, and Bjorn Fortuin have been picked by the Royals. The left-arm pacer from West Indies Obed McCoy is also bagged by the Royals and he is expected to share the new ball along with Ngidi. Some local talents including Mitchell van Buuren, Wihan Lubbe, and Ferisco Adams who have done well in the domestic circuit have also been picked.
