In the last ODI match played between India and Sri Lanka in Thiruvananthapuram, Virat Kohli looked exceptional with his bat smashing the second century in the series. The legendary batter remained unbeaten on 166 runs off 110 deliveries, hitting 13 fours and eight maximums.

This incredible knock of Kohli, along with Shubman Gill's 116 runs off 97 balls, helped India to put up a colossal total of 390/5, which later shattered the confidence of Sri Lanka batters. The visitors lost the game by an emphatic margin of 317 runs.

With this phenomenal ton, Kohli has now 46 centuries to his name, which takes him close to former India great Sachin Tendulkar, who ended his ODI career in 2012 with 49 tons. After this spectacular innings, the 34-year-old batter is getting a lot of praise from fans and former cricketers.

During the game, his memorable ton created some amazing moments in the commentary box as well. When the stats for the most centuries were displayed on the television screens during Sri Lanka’s run-chase, it drew a hilarious reaction from Kumar Sangakkara.

The swashbuckling former Sri Lanka wicket-keeper batter scored 25 ODI tons in his ODI career, which places him in the ninth position on the list of ODI batters with the most centuries. However, the screen projected only top-five centurions, which prompted Sangakkara to react by saying, “Where am I?” causing laughter from his fellow commentator in the box.
