Bangladesh's star cricketer Shakib Al Hasan added another feather to his illustrious cap after he completed his graduation in BBA. The renowned all-rounder attended the convocation ceremony at the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) on Sunday, March 19.

The veteran cricketer was at the heart of Bangladesh's victory in the first ODI against Ireland after smashing 93 off 89 deliveries. During his innings, he became only the second Bangladeshi cricketer to breach the 7000-run mark in ODIs. He also joined an illustrious list of players to have done the double of 7000 runs and 300 wickets in the 50-over format.

Following his match-winning performance against Ireland, the 35-year-old fulfilled a long-awaited dream after completing his graduation from the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB). Shakib got emotional during the convocation ceremony on Sunday and remembered his mother's inspirational words in his speech.

"When you dream, you dream it big and honestly work to achieve the goal," Shakib said in his speech during the convocation ceremony.

Anamul Haque Bijoy was another Bangladeshi cricketer who also attended the AIUB's convocation ceremony as a graduate. Meanwhile, The flamboyant all-rounder was in elements during the ODI series opener against Ireland as he anchored the innings with a brilliant 53rd ODI half-century. His magnificent partnership with Towhid Hridoy led the foundation for Bangladesh's highest ODI score.

He also played a major role in Bangladesh's bowling innings as he broke the 60-run opening stand by Ireland after getting rid of Stephen Doheny. His wicket triggered a horrendous top-order collapse as the visitors lost four wickets for the addition of just 16 runs. Their innings eventually fizzled out for a lowly 155 runs, handing the home side a comprehensive victory in the ODI series opener, thanks to Shakib's all-round brilliance.
