Similarly, one of the best moments of the game came during the run chase in the seventh over, when skipper Rohit Sharma played the shot of the day in sensational fashion.
Batting against ace Pakistan pacer Shaheen Afridi, Rohit hit a brilliant pull shot on the first ball of the seventh over when Afridi bowled a shoulder-high delivery to the Indian skipper, and in trademark fashion, the 36-year-old pulled it around a deep backward square leg.
Hitting the first six of the game, the clip of the shot quickly went viral all over social media, as Rohit is famous for his pull shot, and he showcased his skill with the shot against one of the best bowlers in world cricket, Shaheen Afridi. India-Pakistan keen on continuing winning run
Talking of both India and Pakistan’s performance in the ODI World Cup 2023, both sides have competed in two matches so far, and interestingly enough, both teams are currently unbeaten.
India have faced off against Australia and Afghanistan in the two matches that they have played so far, and they have come away as the victors in both games. On the other hand, Pakistan have taken on the Netherlands and Sri Lanka so far, and the side has put in brilliant performances as well, winning both matches.
As both sides take centre stage in Ahmedabad, it could be interesting to see which side between India and Pakistan will be handed their first loss of the tournament.
