South Africa are all set to host the West Indies for a multi-format tour, starting February 28. The action will kick-start with the two-match Test series (Sir Vivian Richards Trophy) before the attention shifts to the white-ball assignments from March 16. The Proteas have been quite dominant against the West Indies in the longest format and have lost just three out of the 30 matches played against them.

The last time South Africa and the West Indies took played Tests was 2014-15, when the Proteas trumped the visitors 2-0 in a three-match Test series. It will be South Africa’s first assignment under the Shukri Conrad-Temba Bavuma regime and they would look to put their best foot forward against Kraigg Brathwaite & Co. 

West Indies, on the other hand, have a formidable squad consisting of many top-drawer players and have the potential to give the hosts a run for their money. However, they would need to bring their A-game into play if they are to pose a challenge to Bavuma & Co.
