Suresh Raina's cousin dies in hit-and-run-accident in Dharamshala

Suresh Raina has been dealt with unfortunate news as his maternal cousin Saurabh Kumar has passed away. In a hit-and-run accident, Saurabh sustained major injuries and breathed his last along with his friend Shubham. The car collision led to the demise of the two along with a motorist. Shalini Agnihotri, the SP of Kangra, reported the incident which took place around 11:30 PM on May 1. 

The police reported that Sher Singh, the driver of the car, was responsible for the accident. While he had escaped the scene after the accident, CCTV footage helped to discover him, which led to his arrest later in Mandi. The accused has been booked under different sections due to his act. As per the reports, the investigation regarding the case has begun.

Sher has been booked under Section 279 for rash driving and Section 304A for causing death by negligence under the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Additionally, he has also been charged under Section 187 of the Motors Vehicles Act, as per the statement of the police. Raina recently spoke about opting out of the IPL 2020 due to personal reasons. The star player had pulled out of the IPL 2020 due to personal reasons and bio-bubble restrictions.

Suresh Raina speaks about CSK's success

Raina, who was an integral part of CSK's success over the years, recently spoke about how certain teams haven't won IPL as they have been indulging in party culture. Raina revealed how CSK never partied and that's why they are so successful.

"Chennai never partied. That's why they have been the most successful. 2-3 teams who partied have not won the IPL yet. Laughss (Do you mean RCB?). No, there are a few teams who haven't won, they must have partied hard. We (CSK) didn't do it. That's why we have 5 IPL trophies and 2 Champions League trophies. MI also have won 5 trophies," Raina said about the after parties in the IPL during an interaction on India Today's sister channel Lallantop.
