With his meticulous performance against New Zealand in the second T20I of the series, the flamboyant batter Suryakumar Yadav once again got a chance to raise his bat in order to celebrate his second ton in T20I cricket. The 32-year-old smashed the Kiwi bowlers across the park, scoring 111 runs off just 51 deliveries. His power-hitting ultimately helped India put 191 runs on the board and later comfortably won the match by 65 runs.

In a game where all the other Indian batters were struggling to get going, Suryakumar was an exception, as he batted at a whopping strike rate of 217.65. When the rest of the batters could score only 69 runs off 69 deliveries, the Mumbai-born batter helped the Men in Blue put a respective total on the board.

Even though he missed the game, Virat Kohli was quick to laud Yadav for his innings. Calling it like a ‘Video Game Innings’, Kohli wasn’t shy to call Suryakumar Yadav, the best in the world.

The 32-year-old responded to his tweet in the post-match conference with a big smile and said that he will take it as a compliment and try to improve in the future. “Isko toh mai ek compliment ki tarah lunga aur try karunga ki aur accha kaise kar sakun (I will take that as a compliment and try to do better).

SKY talks about his relationship with Virat Kohli

In the past one year, the duo of Suryakumar Yadav and Virat Kohli has helped India win some of the most difficult matches for the Men in Blue. Sky was also on the other end when Kohi hit his much-awaited 71st century and most importantly, the duo in the middle shares amazing chemistry and understands each other's game, which eventually helps India in the middle overs.

While talking about their bond, Suryakumar revealed that they don’t talk much about the game while batting. He also pointed out the fact about how he needs to run a lot when batting with the 34-year-old.

“Recently, we have shared very good partnerships. I have enjoyed batting with him. But one thing is there, you have to run so much as he’s super fit,” said SKY as quoted by News18. “We don’t talk much about the game when batting together though. We respect each other, know our game well. The only thing I tell him is to keep batting from his end so that I can play my shots,” he added.
