"Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with her family, friends and everyone who knew and loved her at this unimaginably difficult time," Sanders said in the statement.

While this wasn't a cricket-related catastrophy, as stated by the club, there have been quite a few instances in recent past when cricketers have collapsed to the ground and lost their lives. Suhail Furqan and Zulfikar are two cricketers, 23 and 46 years old, respectively, who lost their lives during matches in the month of July. On August 21, a 35-year-old Indian expat died during a tennis-ball cricket match in Al Hail, Oman. He was identified as Shabeer Basheer.
