The biggest extravaganza in franchise cricket, Indian Premier League is ultimately heading towards its fag end with the race to IPL 2023 playoffs heating up. There is only one team, Gujarat Titans who have qualified for the playoffs thus far. With every team looking to come up with their A-game and seal a spot in the playoffs, the tournament promises an exciting finish.

Amidst all this, ace India commentator, Aakash Chopra feels that Royal Challengers Bangalore’s back-to-back wins must have increased the tension for the other teams who are still competing for the playoffs. It was just five days ago that RCB secured a thumping win over Rajasthan Royals by a humongous margin of 112 runs.

They even continued their good form and secured an emphatic win against Sunrisers Hyderabad by 8 wickets to strengthen their chances for playoff qualification on May 18.

The cricketer-turned-commentator said on his YouTube channel that RCB are very well alive in the competition and with the form in which they are in, the 2016 runners-up are certainly a force to reckon with for other teams.

On his YouTube channel, Chopra commented "Bangalore are alive and they are properly alive. They have won their last two games in a canter. So, the other teams should be slightly scared but who will progress will now only be known on Sunday evening."

Notably, RCB will be playing their last game of the season against Gujarat Titans in their own backyard on May 21 which also happens to be the last league game of the ongoing season. RCB are currently placed fourth on the points table with 14 points to their name. The three times IPL runner-ups have won 7 out of their 13 games played so far.

For the 2016 runner-ups, Faf du Plessis has been the leading run-scorer with 702 runs to his name while Virat Kohli has scored 538 runs and Glenn Maxwell has scored 389 runs in the ongoing season thus far.
