The tournament will take a thrilling turn if Pakistan qualify for Super 4: Vijay Dahiya

After losing to India in their opening match of the tournament, Pakistan are in a tight spot to qualify for the Super 4 of the Asia Cup 2022. The Men in Green will challenge Hong Kong in the penultimate match of the group stage as the winner of the competition will qualify for the next round.

It Is not unknown that Hong Kong is not as strong as Pakistan. However, the Nizakat Khan-led side played good cricket in the tournament so far and Pakistan would not want to take them lightly. 

However, former India international, Vijay Dahiya believes that there is no competition among both the teams and Pakistan are favourites to win the clash. He also said that the tournament will only take a thrilling turn if Babar Azam and company joins India, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka in the next round.

“Everyone wants that (India versus Pakistan match). It’s not that I don’t consider Hong Kong as a team. However, from the tournament’s point of view, I think everyone wants Pakistan to be there and the kind of team Pakistan has, I don’t think there will be immense competition against Hong Kong. Also, the tournament will take a thrilling turn when Pakistan qualifies for Super 4," he said while speaking on BatBricks7 presents' Run Ki Runneeti' on CricTracker.

Nizakat Khan, the skipper of the Hong Kong team, recently met Babar Azam after the practice session of the two teams. Speaking to him, the 30-year-old first congratulated Babar for his immense success as a batter and later asked for some tips for him to improve.

The Pakistan captain first asked: “Kya tip chahiye aapko? (What tip do you want?)” He later went on to say “Believe in yourself” as the video is uploaded on the official social media handle of the Pakistan Cricket.
