Former Indian batter Krishnamachari Srikkanth recently opened up on Australia's performances and urged them to do something to justify the hype around the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy. India have been fabulous in the series thus far, winning the first Test by an innings and 132 runs in Nagpur and the second one by six wickets in Delhi.

Notably, the hosts have retained the Border Gavaskar Trophy and it has been thanks to the fabulous performances of all-rounders R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel that India have been able to register massive victories against their fierce rivals. Australia are having trouble facing the bowling attack of India and their subpar performances have led to much criticism by fans and pundits alike.

'Do something or else you guys will be a 'Potlam'' - Kris Srikkanth's message to Australia

"This is to the Australia manager, 'Do something boss!'. There is a big hype created around the series. I am talking in English for your safety. Do something guys or else you guys will be a 'Potlam', which means 'Packet'. You have already been packeted," said Srikkanth in a video on his YouTube channel.

Despite poor performances, Australia will look to improve in the two matches left in the Test series. Despite losing out on the Border Gavaskar Trophy, the visitors will hope that they do not lose the series by trying to win the remaining games. The third match of the series will be played in Indore from March 1.

The Test series will be followed by a three-match ODI series, which will commence on March 17 with the first match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The next two games will be played Visakhapatnam and Chennai on March 19 and 22 respectively.
