India and England are currently engaged in a five-match Test series, and the BCCI has recently announced the list of chosen players for the remaining three Test matches.

As the cricketing saga unfolds, a twist emerged after the team selection – Umesh Yadav, the seasoned Indian pace bowler, conveyed his sentiments on social media. The unexpected development unfolded as Yadav couldn't find himself in the squad even for the final three matches.

Post the team announcement, Yadav took to social media to articulate his feelings. He shared a cryptic message on Instagram, implying that just because books gather dust, their stories don't come to an end.

His Instagram story read: "Kitaabon par dhool jamne se, kahaaniyan khatm nahi hoti," (Just because books are covered with dust, the stories do not end).

The 36-year-old bowler, who has bagged 170 wickets in 57 Tests for India at an average of 30.95, has been a crucial asset in the bowling department. Particularly in the Virat Kohli-Ravi Shastri era, Yadav showcased his prowess by claiming 101 wickets in 32 home Tests at an impressive average of 25.88, with the best figures of 6/88.

Yadav's contribution extends beyond the Test format, with 75 ODIs and nine T20Is to his name, where he secured 106 and 12 wickets respectively. Despite his experience and consistent performance, the speedster found himself excluded from the Test squad, prompting his emotional Instagram post.

Yadav has secured 19 wickets in four matches in the current Ranji Trophy Season

The seasoned campaigner last donned the Indian colors during the ICC World Test Championship final against Australia in the UK, where he managed to take two wickets in a losing effort. In the ongoing Ranji Trophy, he has been displayedg his prowess for Vidarbha, amassing 19 wickets in four matches, including two impactful four-wicket hauls.
