The USA will look to build on their historic T20 World Cup 2024 campaign when they embark on a white-ball tour to the Netherlands. In June, the USA made their maiden appearance at the T20 World Cup and managed to defeat mighty Pakistan en route to the Super Eight stage.
One of the USA's brightest stars in the campaign was left-arm seamer Saurabh Netravalkar. The former India Under-19 player, however, will not be a part of the Netherlands tour as he has been granted parental leave. Meanwhile, wicketkeeper-batter Andries Gous will also be on parental leave but only during the ODI leg. He will link up with the side ahead of the T20Is.

However, former New Zealand all-rounder Corey Anderson has been dropped from the side after a disappointing T20 World Cup campaign with the willow. Left-arm spinning all-rounder Nisarg Patel has also been axed after being the only member of USA's World Cup to be benched right through the World Cup. His absence has given wrist spinner Yasir Mohammad, who has played two T20Is for the USA, a chance to make a comeback. Middle-order batter Milind Kumar has also been left out of the T20 side but finds himself in the ODI setup.
The 36-year-old Shadley Van Schalkwyk has been left out of the T20 squad but enters USA's ODI scheme of things for the first time. Meanwhile, young opening batter Sai Teja Mukkamalla has made the cut to the T20I side after being firmly entrenched in USA's ODI roster. However, the inclusion of 17-year-old Utkarsh Srivastava over experienced and in-form players like Sanjay Krishnamurthy and Ali Sheikh has raised a few eyebrows.
Former India Under-19 wicketkeeper-batter Smit Patel has been named in the ODI squad in the absence of Gous. However, Unmukt Chand's wait to break into the national team continues, as he has been ignored once again by the selectors.
