Virat Kohli is a cricketer on a different level, the vibe he brings to the side is excellent: Sanjay Bangar

Royal Challengers Bangalore have had a good season so far in the IPL 2023 as they have won four out of seven matches so far in the tournament. Star batter Virat Kohli has been leading the side for the past three matches as Faf du Plessis is nursing a rib injury and can’t take the field, hence he’s being substituted by Impact player during RCB’s fielding.

Under Kohli’s leadership so far in the tournament, RCB have won both the matches against Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals respectively. Talking about Kohli’s impact on the team, RCB head coach Sanjay Bangar said that he’s a cricketer on a different level and whatever he speaks might not be enough for the great cricketer.

“See, Virat Kohli is a cricketer on a different level. Whatever we speak about him might not be enough for him. He always tries to keep the game at a high level. His intensity on the field and the vibe he brings to the side is excellent to see. He always likes to step up and improve his game. Whether it is 20 overs, 50 overs or Test cricket, the intensity is always the same. He is a top-level personnel," Bangar was quoted as saying by India Today.

Siraj has been on fire in the last 12 months: Sanjay Bangar

Among the top performers for RCB is the right-arm seamer Mohammed Siraj who’s been sitting at the top of the leading wicket-takers list of IPL 2023 along with Rashid Khan with 14 scalps to his name. Siraj has been phenomenal with the ball for RCB and has been successful in taking wickets during the powerplay.

Apart from Siraj, Harshal Patel has been the second most successful bowler for RCB with 10 wickets to his name. Praising the seam duo, Bangar said that the side is dependent on them and both deliver for them in tough overs.

"Yes, we are very dependent on Mohammed Siraj and Harshal Patel and the experience both give is very much useful. Both deliver us in tough overs and especially Siraj, who has been on fire in the last 12 months and the confidence he has is superb. We focus more on Harshal Patel. He bowls tough overs and has been a bit off-guard this season," Bangar added.
