Former Pakistan skipper Javed Miandad has bashed Afghanistan's cricket team for their 'bad behavior' during a Super Four encounter against the Men in Green. It must be noted that Afghanistan's pacer Fareed Ahmad and batter Asif Ali were involved in an ugly spat which resulted in a physical altercation as well.

The situation could have turned worse if the players and on-field umpires didn't intervene to stop both Asif and Fareed. Pakistan somehow managed to win the contest by just one wicket after Naseem Shah smoked two back-to-back sixes and win the game for his team.

We brought them into the picture, they used to practice in Pakistan: Javed Miandad on team Afghanistan

Speaking with a YouTube channel called ‘Events & Happenings Sports’, the former batter said, “Pakistan played well but I’m disappointed with the team [Afghanistan] they defeated. Just because their behavior is so bad nowadays. We brought them into the picture, they used to practice in Pakistan. And now, just see their language. How older are they? They haven’t played that much cricket, have they lost their minds?

“Pakistan has been playing the game for 20 years now. They came here and learned the game. I’m the witness because I coached them. But I was baffled to see how they behaved as if they were superstars,” Miandad added.

Miandad further said, "Your cricket is nothing. Learn how to play the game. There are numerous aspects of cricket. If you are sincere, and humble and give respect [to each other], your game will get better. “Warna is tareeke se tum lafootas cricket kheloge.”

Meanwhile, Pakistan will take on Sri Lanka in the final match of the 2022 Asia Cup to be played at the Dubai International Stadium on September 11 (Sunday). Both teams have played some good cricket in the tournament and they will want to cross the final hurdle and lift the prized trophy to be crowned as Asian champions.
