The wicketkeeper-batter continued from where he left off in the opening fixture vs South Africa and played a blistering knock of 122 off 77 balls smashing 14 fours and six gigantic sixes in his innings.

Mendis unleashed his wrath on the Pakistan pace trio of Shaheen Afridi, Hasan Ali and Harid Rauf as he raced to his century in just 65 balls. Pakistan seamers went into hiding seeing Mendis’ onslaught as he mercilessly thrashed them all over the park.
