It was a magical night for Praful Hinge, a young and emerging fast bowler from Vidarbha, Maharashtra. Making his debut in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Sunrisers Hyderabad, he destroyed Rajasthan Royals with a sensational first over, claiming three wickets, and nearly deciding the outcome of the match there itself.

On the very first ball of the innings, he took the priced wicket of Vaibhav Sooryavanshi who was in terrific form coming into this game. Hinge later also picked up the wickets of in-form Dhruv Jurel and Lhuan-dre Pretorius to become the first-ever bowler to claim three wickets in the opening over in the history of IPL.

After Praful’s epic performance, his proud parents were elated by their son’s heroics in the IPL. Prakash Hinge, father of the pacer, gave away his immediate thoughts.

“I can't express it in words. Because, today he had a record breaking outing by picking up 3 wickets in his first ever over and proved his eligibility. I am also a fast bowler,” said Praful’s father in conversation with NECO Master Blaster.

He further went on to thank the 2016 IPL champions for giving Praful a chance to prove himself in India’s premier T20 league, especially the SRH’s bowling coach Varun Aaron.

“And today Sunrisers Hyderabad team has given him a chance. I would like to thank Sunrisers Hyderabad's coach, captain and management. Especially Varun Aaron sir, because he is their bowling coach,” he continued.

Praful’s father was particularly satisfied by the fact that his son took the wicket of teenage prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who had recently smashed the likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Josh Hazlewood and Jasprit Bumrah.

“The way he bowled his first over and took a wicket of Dhurandhar batter Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, it was a commendable performance. Because he was bowling at around 140 kmph. And I think he will perform like this in every match,” he concluded.

SRH will now face Chennai Super Kings on April 18 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.
