Rohit Sharma was busy training at Shivaji Park in Mumbai on Friday, October 10, with former India assistant coach Abhishek Nayar. He is leaving no stone unturned in his preparations for the upcoming Australia tour, which features three ODIs and five T20Is. Rohit will be playing only the ODI leg of the tour, having retired from T20I cricket following India's triumph at the 2024 T20 World Cup.

A lot of fans gathered in and around Shivaji Park to witness Rohit practising from close quarters. During the practice session, a heartwarming moment caught the attention of fans. A young fan sneaked past the ropes, hoping to meet his idol, Rohit. However, he was stopped by security personnel before he could reach the former India captain.

In a video, which has gone viral on the internet, Rohit could be seen scolding the security personnel for stopping the kid and insisting that he be allowed through. The gesture drew cheers from the crowd that had gathered to catch a glimpse of the stalwart. They were quick to applaud Rohit’s down-to-earth reaction.
