The ongoing Asia Cup is well underway, and with the Super Four stages of the tournament finally commencing, the four teams will be keen on putting in their best performances to progress further into the tournament and potentially get their hands on the coveted title.

Babar Azam-led Pakistan were the first team to begin the Super Four stage. The side took on Bangladesh in match 7 of the tournament and registered a resounding victory. Batting first, Bangladesh were bundled out for a meager total of 193 runs, which was chased down with ease by the Babar Azam-led Pakistan.

Furthermore, after their win against Bangladesh, Pakistan’s next assignment is a grueling encounter against team India. Both sides faced each other in match 3 of the tournament, but it was eventually abandoned due to rain. However, they will look to make amends as they take on one another once again on Sunday, September 10.

Ahead of the much-anticipated clash against India, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam took centre stage and opined that they don't feel the pressure of taking on India and that the win against Bangladesh instilled a lot of confidence in the side.

"No, not really (pressure ahead of big game?) This win will give us confidence; we are always ready for a big match. We will give our 100 percent in the next match," Babar Azam was quoted as saying by India Today.

Yeah, the credit goes to all the boys: Babar

Furthermore, Azam also reflected on his side’s performance against Bangladesh, which helped them register a dominant win. The 28-year-old heaped massive praise on his bowling attack for limiting Bangladesh to a low total and eventually helping them get a win as well.

"Yeah, the credit goes to all the boys, especially to the fast bowlers, the way they bowled in the first 10 overs, and especially Rauf was really good. Faheem Ashraf bowled very well, I saw the grass on the pitch and thought of going with the extra seamer," Babar said.
