With the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 rapidly approaching its end, the MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings and defending champions Gujarat Titans will go head-to-head to grab the coveted title. Being one of the most prestigious titles in the world, the golden IPL trophy is arguably one of the hardest to achieve and one of the most sought-after titles in league cricket around the globe.

Boasting a stunning design, the IPL trophy is one of the most beautiful titles in the world, with an inspiring message inscribed in its middle as well. Engraved in Sanskrit, there is a message on the title that reads, "Yatra Pratibha Avsara Prapnotihi."

The message translates to "where talent meets opportunity." Which goes hand in hand with the culture of the tournament, and it has been a stepping stone for a plethora of youngsters who have gone on to become world beaters.

Chennai Super Kings take on Gujarat Titans for the IPL title on May 28

The final of the IPL 2023 will see the tournament finish right where it started, as Chennai Super Kings will face off against Gujarat Titans in the summit clash. Both sides have faced each other twice in the ongoing competition, with both teams winning the tie once.

Chennai and Gujarat clashed in the season opener of the tournament on March 31, where the defending champions emerged victorious by five wickets to get off to a thundering start. However, the next time both sides faced each other was in Qualifier 1 on May 23. With things being different this time around, Chennai got the upper hand, winning the game by 15 runs and becoming the first team to make it to the IPL 2023 final.

As Gujarat succumbed to a defeat in the knockout stages, they made it into the summit clash after defeating Mumbai Indians in Qualifier 2. It could be interesting to see how the Hardik Pandya-led side would fare against Chennai after recently losing a game.
