The sixth match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 saw four-time champions Chennai Super Kings take on the KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants. After losing the season opener to Gujarat Titans, Chennai followed it up with a victory against Lucknow.

Despite registering their first points in the tournament, the MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings have identified a problem on their side. In their two IPL matches so far, the bowlers of CSK have overstepped five times; three times in their previous game alone.

It is the 27-year-old Tushar Deshpande who has bowled four of the five no-balls for Chennai. Talking about the same, Deshpande reflected on his performance so far and said that he had been focused to make a comeback.

"I am a firm believer of the present; what's gone is gone. Bowling no ball is a crime in T20 cricket, but if I keep cribbing about it, I might have given away ten extra runs and the results might have gone either way. So I was just focused on making a good comeback. I kept telling myself that you can win the game for the team," Deshpande told the reporters.

"Death bowling is not easy. I am still learning; we have a great death bowler as our bowling coach, DJ Bravo, and I am just trying to pick his brains. My role is quite similar to what Bravo has done over the years for CSK. I can't fill his shoes, but I am trying to learn slog-overs bowling skills from him," he added.

Chennai Super Kings look to carry forward their momentum

Chennai Super Kings won their first game of the tournament and accumulated their first points of the season. The side notched up 217 runs on the board against Lucknow thanks to fabulous knocks by Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway.

In the second innings, it was veteran English all-rounder Moeen Ali who took four wickets and was integral to his side registering their first win of the season.
