We have put a whole schedule together: Mickey Arthur

The team director further explained the preparations for the mega ODI event, stating that the side will focus on strengthening specific aspects. In addition to this, with the uncertainty looming over the Asia Cup 2023, Arthur added that the management put up a schedule in terms of camps as part of a backup plan.

“We have put a whole schedule together in terms of camps and we have identified areas that we think we need to work on, particularly through the middle-overs is our ability to play spin and our ability to hit sweepers,” Arthur added.

Furthermore, Arthur said that he was looking at potential players who could play the finisher role along with working having depth in the bowling department. For doing so he has already chalked out a plan to organise camps in the ongoing off-season at the moment. Moreover, South African wants to strengthen the bench capacity of the Pakistan team.

"We're also having a look at our finishers, guys who can come in and finish and really hit the ball out of the ground and then just continue to work on our bench strength. In terms of our bowling depth, we have got some wonderful bowlers. So, we will have camps all the way through the sort of off-period now," he concluded.
