However, between all these developments, the BCCI has picked up 15 venues that can be seen hosting matches during the World Cup to be held from October 5 to November 19.

As per reports published by ESPNcricinfo, the BCCI Secretary Jay Shah has given a statement that the schedule for the 2023 edition of the distinguished ODI competition will be released during the World Test Championship final will be conducted between India and Australia at The Oval, London.

With the World Cup only a few months away, the BCCI is tasked to hand over the schedule for the event to the International Cricket Council (ICC) soon.

Team India will be favourites for the ODI event

In the last three World Cup installments, the hosts have won the title, and going through this fact; the Indian cricket team will be expected to showcase their best and win the prestigious trophy after 12 years. The Men in Blue are known for playing quality cricket at home, but the recent three-match ODI series defeat to Australia raised a few questions about the capability of Rohit Sharma and his men; however, the same side also vanquished Sri Lanka and New Zealand comfortably.
