Former India captain MS Dhoni is an inspiration for millions of young cricketers in the country who dare to dream big despite hailing from small towns. The 42-year-old is in the twilight of his career and is thanking his dear ones for their contribution in his career in his own way. Recently, the wicketkeeper batter was spotted using a bat with a sticker of his old friend Paramjit Singh’s shop ‘Prime Sports’.

Notably, Paramjit Singh helped Dhoni get a sponsorship early on in his career and hence to thank his friend, Dhoni is promoting his shop by sporing his sticker on his bat in practice sessions ahead of IPL 2024. Recently, Paramjit also reacted to Dhoni’s gesture and said that he’s always been there for him.

"I am feeling very proud of him. He has always been there for us. And this is our friendship. Friendship No. 1," Paramjit Singh was quoted as saying by Aaj Tak. He also revealed that Dhoni gifted him an autographed bat, which carried the message: "Best wishes, Chhotu Bhaiya."

Legendary Australia wicketkeeper batter Adam Gilchrist also commented on Dhoni sporting his friend’s sports shop sticker earlier.

"I saw him hitting some balls in the nets, MS Dhoni. There's a new bat sticker on his bat. Just a local sports store of one of his schoolmates. Whack the company name on your bat just to give a boost to sales," said on commentary.

Ahead of IPL 2024, Dhoni is being seen in his old avatar as he has also grown his hair like his early days in international cricket. The upcoming edition of IPL is expected to be the last one for the ‘Captain Cool’ who had promised his fans to return for another edition after the IPL 2023 final.
