Despite losing by 86 runs in the second ODI of the series, Bangladesh openers Litton Das and Tamim Iqbal have decided to take a break from the final match in order to stay fit for the upcoming ODI World Cup. Shakib Al Hasan too isn’t part of the squad and hence, it’s the perfect chance for others to step up and establish their authority in the middle.

The returning Mahmudullah did well in the last match and will be hoping to repeat something similar. The good news for them is that the likes of Taskin Ahmed and Shofiful Islam will be making their return. Khaled Ahmed and Mehidy Hasan did a commendable job in the last match, picking up three wickets each, while Mustafizur picked up two. Hence, bowling looks more or less sorted for them.

When it comes to New Zealand, a lot of senior players in the form of Kane Williamson, Tim Southee, Glenn Phillips and a few others are missing at the moment. Despite so, the Black Caps have played really well, which eventually secured a comfortable victory. Ish Sodhi picked up six wickets and absolutely decimated the home team. In spin-friendly conditions of Dhaka, he will aim to repeat the same. With the bat, Henry Nicholls and Tom Blundell have done a commendable job in the last match.
