After a morale-boosting six-wicket win in the second T20I at the VCA Stadium in Nagpur, a spirited Team India would be hoping to seal the series when they meet the reigning T20 world champions Australia in the third and final encounter at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Sunday, September 25.

The second match was a truncated one which was ultimately reduced to eight over per side due to rain saw the hosts come out on top in a high-pressure chase of 91 where skipper Rohit Sharma roared back to form with an unbeaten 20-ball 46. Veteran Dinesh Karthik hit the winning runs in the final over with a six and a four off successive deliveries to seal the deal for India.

The Indian win meant that the three-match series is now tied at 1-1. It was Australia who drew the first blood where they successfully chased down a mammoth 209-run target. Thus, the final game is all about the 'Winner Takes It All' match that will see the top-ranked T20I side and the T20 World Cup holders battle it out for supremacy in Hyderabad.

Even though Jasprit Bumrah's return will give India confidence, they still need to work on their death over woes with Harshal Patel leaking runs and more importantly, India need to find a way to stop Matthew Wade who has  troubled them throughout the series.

Australia on the other hand would be hoping to work on their inconsistent top-order barring skipper Aaron Finch. Power-hitter Glenn Maxwell's form is a cause of concern as well especially after he was dismissed for a golden duck in the last game.

Pitch and Conditions

The pitch at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium is expected to provide the right balance for both the batters and bowlers. The batters will be able to dominate in the initial overs as the new ball will come nicely on to the but. However, the spinners could get some purchase from the wicket in the middle overs. Therefore, the captain calling it right at the toss would be hoping to bowl first.

India will be hoping to not make many changes to the XI that had played in the previous game. Rishabh Pant might get benched with Bhuvneshwar Kumar returning to the XI.

Predicted Playing XI: KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma (c), Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Dinesh Karthik (wk), Axar Patel, Harshal Patel, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Yuzvendra Chahal
