India will take the stage alongside New Zealand in the first game of the three-match T20I series at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi on January 27. After whitewashing the BlackCaps in the ODI leg, the Men in Blue, under the leadership of Hardik Pandya, will look to ride on winning momentum and gain a victory in the first T20I.

New Zealand, on the other hand, will look to put on an improved showing in the T20Is after succumbing to a comprehensive series defeat in the ODIs. With Mitchell Santner at the helm, the Kiwis would look to bring their A-game into play in Ranchi and start the series with a win.

Pitch Conditions

Ranchi is known to offer sporting wicket, with something in it for both batters and bowlers. In three T20Is played at the venue thus far, two have been won by the side chasing. Going by the aforementioned stat, one can expect the team winning the toss to field first.
