The in-form Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will square off against the struggling Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow in the 21^st match of the ongoing 16^th edition of the Indian Premier League. While the hosts will be gearing up to clinch another victory, the visitors will be aiming to break their losing streak.

Lucknow bagged a thrilling victory in their previous game when they defeated the Royal Challengers Bangalore at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. RCB posted a massive target of 213 runs for LSG to chase, and even after a sluggish start, LSG managed to win the encounter by the barest of margins on the ultimate delivery of the game in a dramatic manner.

Punjab Kings need to work on their execution strategies. Even after forming a strong squad, they have only managed to win two games out of the four played and will be coming on the back of two consecutive losses. Shikhar Dhawan could not be as impactful, in the previous game, as he had been in the earlier games, but will be looking to get back in shape.

The two sides have faced each other only once in the tournament’s history as LSG made their way into the IPL just last year. They faced each other once in the league stage, and LSG won the contest but Punjab would be aiming to level up and put their first win on the cards against LSG.
