Reigning champions Gujarat Titans will take on cellar dwellers Delhi Capitals in the 44th league meeting of the ongoing IPL 2023 season. While Hardik Pandya's men are the most in-form side in the competition with three wins in their last three matches, Delhi Capitals come into the game with just two wins to their name in this year's competition.

The Gujarat-based outfit completed a hat-trick of victories after a comfortable win against two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens. While the Gujarat bowlers did their job in the first innings to restrict the home side to a par total, the likes of Shubman Gill, David Miller and Vijay Shankar starred with the bat to make it look like a routine chase.

Coming to their opponents, Delhi Capitals fell short by nine runs in their previous outing against Sunrisers Hyderabad in a high-scoring affair on their home ground. Star Aussie all-rounder Mitchell Marsh did everything he could with both the bat and ball, only to end up on the losing side.

Although the Delhi-based outfit has shown some fight in their last three matches, it is going to be a stern task for David Warner's men to contain a well-rounded Gujarat Titans team. Their record does not make for a good reading either as they are winless against Hardik Pandya's side in IPL.

The surface in Ahmedabad has proved to be a batter's ally in this year's competition. Even though there is a decent amount of assistance for the slower bowlers, the shorter dimensions of the ground appeal more to the batters. The team winning the toss would be inclined to bat first at this venue.
