Game 19 of the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023 will feature a clash between the Netherlands (NED) and Sri Lanka (SL) at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Saturday, October 21. Sri Lanka will be coming into the game on the back of a loss against Australia, and the side will look to get back to winning ways.

The team is yet to win a game at the 2023 World Cup, and a game against the Netherlands could be their ticket to their first win. However, led by Scott Edwards, the Netherlands could be a force to be reckoned with, as the side will be coming off a marvellous win against South Africa.

In one of the biggest upsets of the tournament so far, the Netherlands put forth a performance for the ages against the Proteas and came out victorious. As the game approaches, it could be interesting to see how the Men in Orange fare against Sri Lanka, who are still searching for their first win of the World Cup.

NED vs. SL Pitch and Conditions

The surface at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow is quite famous for being a bowler-friendly surface. A low-scoring encounter could be quite the possibility on such a surface, and a thrilling game could be on the cards. Opting to bowl first could prove to be a wise decision.
