The action will continue in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 as Bangladesh (BAN) and Sri Lanka (SL) will take on each other In Match 38 on Monday, November 06 at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. Bangladesh are coming into the game having lost their previous fixture against Pakistan by seven wickets. They’re ranked on the ninth spot on the points table having just one win from seven games with two points to their name.
On the other hand, Sri Lanka are coming into the fixture having been hammered by India by a massive 302 runs in their last game. They find themselves on the seventh spot on the points table with two wins from seven matches having four points to their name. Sri Lanka started their campaign with back-to-back three losses against South Africa, Pakistan and Australia.

However, they made a brilliant comeback by defeating Netherlands and defending champions England in back-to-back games. Their campaign further got off-tack courtesy of consecutive losses against Afghanistan and India. The Kusal Mendis-led side find themselves in a precarious situation as they need to win both of their remaining fixtures to finish in the top eight spots on the points table and qualify for the Champions Trophy 2025.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh started their campaign with a win as they defeated Afghanistan by six wickets. However, that turned out to be the only time they tasted victory in the tournament and went on to lose six consecutive matches from there on. The Shakib al Hasan-led side has been eliminated from the tournament and will look to win their last two games to qualify for the Champions Trophy 2025.
