Brosid T20 Bash 2022: Day 5 - Review

The first match on the fifth day of the Brosid T20 Bash League being played at Bareilly Khalifa Cricket Academy Khusro Degree College ground was played today between Palika Cricket Academy Kanpur and DPS Cricket Academy Rudrapur. Batting first after winning the toss, Kanpur's team took 9 wickets in 15 overs due to Gajendra Kushwaha's hat-trick and 5 wickets for 5 runs.

Nilesh Kaul contributed 37 and Abhay Yadav contributed 28 runs for his team. Chasing the target, the team of DPS Rudrapur won the match by easily scoring 89 runs in 13.4 overs with the help of Ashish Chowdhary's brilliant batting of 38 runs in 22 balls and entered the semi-finals. Gajendra Kushwaha was adjudged man of the match for his superb bowling.

Saurabh Bhambri shines for Brosid Cricket Club

Today's second league match was played between Oasis Cricket Academy and Brosid Cricket Club. Batting first, the Oasis Cricket Academy could only post 96 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 15 overs. Opener Saurabh Kumar mustered 32 runs and then Pargat Singh scored 19 runs but rest of the side crumbled. Vivek Puri picked up three wickets while Tarique and Rishabh Mishra scalped two each to restrict the opposition team.

In response, BCC's skipper Saurabh Bhambri led the way in the chase smashing an unbeaten 46 off 37 balls. He was well supported by Prashant Sharma with a 21-run knock while Rishabh Mishra chipped in with the bat as well scoring an unbeaten 13. Eventually, BCC reached the target in the 14th over with six wickets in hand. Saurabh Bhambri was adjudged Player of the Match for his terrific knock in the chase.
