The 11th game in the 2024 Women's Premier League saw UP Warriorz Women take on Royal Challengers Bangalore Women at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. RCB comfortably secured a 23-run victory, regaining their winning momentum in the tournament.

After being put into bat, the Royal Challengers Bangalore had a solid start, courtesy of openers Sabbhineni Meghana and Smriti Mandhana, who forged a solid fifty-run partnership within the initial five overs. Meghana's innings ended at 28 runs off 21. This paved the way for a substantial 95-run partnership between Ellyse Perry and Mandhana.

Mandhana's exceptional display saw her amass 80 runs from 50 balls, featuring ten boundaries and three sixes. In the latter part of the innings, contributions from Perry and Richa Ghosh propelled the Royal Challengers Bangalore to a challenging total of 198 for three in their allotted 20 overs. Perry contributed 58 runs, while Ghosh added 21 to the total. Anjali Sarvani, Deepti Sharma, and Sophie Ecclestone each managed to claim a wicket for UP.

Facing a challenging target of 199, UP had a strong start with Alyssa Healey and Kiran Navgire combining for 47 runs in the first four overs. However, after Navgire's departure, Healey lacked support from her teammates. Chamari Athapaththu, Grace Harris, and Shweta Sehrawat scored eight, five, and one run respectively before falling quickly, leaving UP in a tough situation in the big chase. Under the pressure of the substantial chase, Healey was also dismissed after scoring 55 runs.

Towards the end, Deepti Sharma and Poonam Khemnar showed promise, but UP fell short by 23 runs as Royal Challengers Bangalore emerged victorious. Asha Sobhana, Sophie Devine, Sophie Molineux, and Georgia Wareham each secured two wickets for RCB.

Now going forward, Royal Challengers Bangalore Women will face Gujarat Giants Women on March 6th at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Meanwhile, UP Women are scheduled to play their next match against Mumbai Indians Women at the same venue on March 7th.
