Team India, after having lost the ODI series, would now face Bangladesh for a two-match Test series in their own backyard. KL Rahul and co. after having the consolation win in the third game will look to carry the momentum in the longest format of game. On the other hand, Bangladesh after winning the series against India in ODI would look to continue the same in the Test series.

Both the teams have had mediocre performances as far the Test match is concerned in 2022, with India winning two out of five games and Bangladesh winning one out of eight games that they have played. Rishabh Pant has been pick of the player for India in 2022 with 532 runs in 9 innings, he has two tons and three half-centuries to his name. Ravichandran Ashwin leads the bowling chart among the players in the squad with 13 wickets in 8 innings. Litton Das has been impressive for Bangladesh scoring 659 runs in 14 innings with two tons and four half-centuries, while Ebadot Hossain leads the bowling chart with 20 wickets in 13 innings

India would miss the services of Rohit Sharma due to injury and Bangladesh would miss the services of leading pace spearhead in Taskin Ahmed due to injury. Rohit-less India would aim to pile up the WTC points with a win; on the other hand, Bangladesh would look for a consolation win in WTC against the big odds.
