England and New Zealand will play the second T20I of their four-match series on Friday, September 1 at Old Trafford in Manchester. England won the first match by seven wickets with 36 balls remaining. 

Finn Allen gave New Zealand a good start with three sixes in the first over, but they were restricted to 139/9 in 20 overs by Brydon Carse and Luke Wood, who took three wickets each. In response, Dawid Malan scored 54 off 42 balls, and Harry Brook scored 43* off 27 balls to help England chase down the target in just 14 overs. Tim Southee surpassed Shakib Al Hasan's tally of 140 wickets to become the leading wicket-taker in T20Is. 

England will be confident of repeating their performance from the first match, while New Zealand will hope to bounce back. It will be interesting to see how New Zealand respond after their loss in the first match. England will be the favourites, but New Zealand will be determined to level the series.
