GT vs MI, IPL 2024, Match 5: Stats Preview of Players' Records and Approaching Milestones

Gujarat Titans (GT) and Mumbai Indians (MI) will play the fifth match of the ongoing seventeenth edition of Indian Premier League 2024 on a doubleheader Super Sunday, March 24, 2024, at the Narendra Modi Stadium Ahmedabad Notably, the two sides will meet again in the league stage.

The hosts of the upcoming fixture finished as runners-up last year and narrowly missed out on a trophy. Speaking of notable performances for the side, opener Shubman Gill showcased a stellar season as he smashed 890 runs in 17 Innings. As a result, Gill became the highest run-getter in the 2023 IPL Season. He is also the new captain of the Titans as Hardik Pandya was traded to Mumbai Indians. Hardik Pandya's absence will weaken the Gujarat side but they have added Azmatullah Omarzai who will be a like-for-like replacement for Pandya as he contributes in both departments.

However, this year they have changed one of the most successful captains of the IPL and handed over the captaincy to Hardik Pandya who also captained well in the last 2 seasons of IPL.
