On Day 4 of the second Test between India and Bangladesh, the visitors were bowled out for 233 runs. It is worth noting that Day 2 and Day 3 were called off due to incessant rain and wet outfield. As India commenced their batting, Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal were on song as they replicated their T20-style batting at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur.
The duo put up over 50 runs for the first wickets within just four overs. Rohit departed after scoring a quickfire 23 off 11 with a strike rate of 209, Jaiswal found a new partner in Shubman Gill. Both the batters stitched a 72-run stand for the second wicket. During this blitzkrieg, India created a record for fasted 100 by a team in Tests as they reached the figure in just 10.1 overs. Jaiswal ended his innings at 72 off 51 with the help of 12 boundaries and two maximums.

India bettered their record of reaching the figure in 12.2 overs against West Indies in Port of Spain, last year. In the second Test of the tour, the same duo of Rohit and Jaiswal unleashed mayhem as they put up a 98-run stand for the first wicket in 11.5 overs, However, the Test ended in a draw but it managed to create the record.
