After levelling the series with a thumping ten-wicket win in the second ODI against team India in Vishakhapatnam, Australia will be high on confidence going into the decider. India, on the hand, would look to erase the memory and seek improved batting performances going into the last game. Both teams will meet each other for one last time in the three-match-ODI series to be played at the famous M.A. Chidambaram Stadium on March 22.

Talking about the second game, Australia won the crucial toss and opted to bowl first; Mitchell Starc ran through the Indian top-order batters with his fiery bowling spell in the powerplay. Virat Kohli was the only top-order batter who looked cheerful, scoring 31 runs that included four fours.

Axar Patel remained unbeaten in run a ball 29 but hardly got support from the other batters. Mitchell Starc registered his ninth five wicket-haul to help the Aussies bowl out India for 117 runs in 26 overs. Sean Abbott and Nathan Ellis chipped in with three and two wickets, respectively.

In response to 117, Australian openers toyed with a potent Indian bowling attack smacking them all round the ground. Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh rose to their respective fifties in no time to help Australia ease the chase by ten wickets in 11 overs.
