Games are coming thick and fast as Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Mumbai Indians (MI) face off in match No. 25 of the ongoing sixteenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Both sides will clash again in the reverse fixture which will be the penultimate match of the league phase on Sunday, May 21 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Talking about form, both teams have made identical starts to their respective campaign. SRH and MI both lost their opening two encounters before bouncing back to claim two back-to-back victories. The Orange Army suffered defeats at the hands of Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the first two games. Aiden Markram’s side then emerged victorious against Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). With four points and a net run rate of -0.822, they are placed in the ninth position in the table.
On the other hand, MI got beaten by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) before sealing wins against Delhi Capitals (DC) and KKR. With four points and an NRR of -0.389, they are placed just above SRH in the eighth spot in the table. (All scenarios till Match No. 23).
