Out-of-form Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) lock horns with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Match 33 of IPL 2023 on Sunday, April 23 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Nitish Rana’s KKR has made a poor start to their campaign as the 2021 runners-up have played six matches so far with just two victories and four losses. With four points and a net run rate of +0.214, they are placed in the eighth position in the table. On the other hand, MS Dhoni’s CSK has made an opposite start to their season as they have played six games with four wins and two defeats.
With eight points and an NRR of +0.355, they are positioned third in the table. (All standings till Match No.30). Notably, the Knight Riders lost the summit clash in 2021 against the Men in Yellow, who won their fourth IPL title. Two-time champions KKR will look to turn things around quickly and move up in the points table while CSK would hope to win their third game on the bounce.
