Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Delhi Capitals (DC) meet each other for the first time in Match 55 of IPL 2023 on Wednesday, May 10 at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Both sides will clash again in the reverse fixture in Match 67 on Saturday, May 20 at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

One of the most consistent sides in the history of the league, CSK is having another solid campaign under the leadership of veteran MS Dhoni as they have played 11 matches so far with six victories and four defeats. One encounter with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) ended with no result. With 13 points and a net run rate of +0.409, they are below Gujarat Titans (GT) in the second position in the table.

On the other hand, DC is struggling down the table as David Warner’s team has played ten games so far with just four wins and six losses. With eight points and an NRR of -0.529, they are placed at rock bottom at the tenth spot. (All standings till Match No. 53). As the season approaches its business end, the Capitals would hope to win as many matches as possible to have any chance of finishing in the top four.
