Sri Lanka and Netherlands will face off in match 19 of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 on October 21 at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

Sri Lanka will enter their fourth World Cup match against Netherlands on the back of three consecutive losses. The Lankans have struggled in all departments of the game, and they will need to turn things around quickly if they want to stay in the race for the semifinals.

Kusal Mendis' form has been the one of the positives for Sri Lanka with the bat, scoring 207 runs in three matches. Sadeera Samarawickrama also scored a century in the second game. Dilshan Madushanka has been the only consistent wicket-taker for Sri Lanka with the ball, picking up seven wickets in three matches. The other bowlers have struggled to find their rhythm and they will need to step up if Sri Lanka want to compete in the tournament.

Netherlands, on the other hand, will be heading into the match on a high after their surprise win over South Africa. Scott Edwards led the way with an unbeaten 78, while Roelof van der Merwe also had a good all-round game to help Netherlands beat South Africa. Netherlands lost their first two matches in the tournament, but they are now placed eighth in the points table, just above Afghanistan. They will be confident of their chances against Sri Lanka, and they will be looking to carry the momentum from their win over South Africa into the next match
