In a seesaw battle in Dharamsala, Netherlands clinched a 38-run victory over South Africa, powered by a brilliant bowling performance from Paul van Meekeren and an economical spell from Roelof van der Merwe. Before the bowlers took charge, Scott Edwards played significant roles, helping the Netherlands set a competitive total. In the last two successive ICC events, the Netherlands have defeated South Africa back-to-back.

After winning the toss and electing to bowl, South Africa quickly made inroads into the Netherlands' batting lineup, reducing them to 50/4 in 15.1 overs. The Dutch team suffered from a loss of wickets at regular intervals, with only their captain, Scott Edwards, managing to reach a half-century. Before departing, Edwards contributed 78* runs off 69 balls, including 10 fours and a towering six. In the later stages of the innings, Van der Merwe and Aryan Dutt played crucial roles by adding quick runs to the scoreboard. Van der Merwe scored 29, while Dutt contributed 23* runs, helping the Netherlands post a respectable total of 245/8 in 43 overs. South African bowlers Lungi Ngidi, Kagiso Rabada, and Marco Jansen all picked up 2 wickets each.

In response, South Africa suffered an early setback as Quinton de Kock was dismissed for 20 runs by Ackermann, and Bavuma was out for 16 runs, falling to Van der Merwe. The Proteas lost back-to-back wickets when Rassie and Aiden were dismissed quickly, leaving the score at 44/4 in 11.2 overs. Subsequently, Klaasen managed to score 28 runs, and David Miller contributed 43 runs.

Both struggled to achieve the target and were eventually dismissed. In the final stretch, Coetzee scored 22 runs and Keshav Maharaj added 40 runs to their effort to win the match, but their attempts fell short. Logan van Beek took 3 wickets, while Paul van Meekeren, Roelof van der Merwe, and Bas de Leede each claimed 2 wickets. For his outstanding batting performance, Scott Edwards was awarded the Player of the Match.
