All-rounder Cameron Green was the stand-out performer for his knock of 64 not out off just 40, which included six fours and two maximums and also a solid spell of 1/29 (4) as Mumbai Indians (MI) defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by a margin of 14 runs in Match No. 25 of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in Hyderabad. With this, the five-time champions have now won three games on the bounce.

Speaking about how the encounter unfolded, skipper Aiden Markram won the toss and elected to field first. MI captain Rohit Sharma scored 28 while his opening partner Ishan Kishan got dismissed for 38. Batting at no. three, Green kept going to also bring up his maiden half-century in the cash-rich league. Youngster Tilak Varma smashed 37 off just 17, as MI reached a competitive total of 192/5, in their allotted 20 overs. Pacer T Natarajan conceded over 50 runs (1/50) for the second game on the trot.

In reply, the centurion from the last match, Harry Brook, got out early for just nine while Rahul Tripathi managed to score only seven. Markram looked good in his brief stay before losing his wicket for 22 off 17. Wicketkeeper batter Heinrich Klaasen played a cameo of 36 off 16 with Piyush Chawla finally getting rid of him. In the end, the target looked far off for the home side as they fell short. Riley Meredith, Jason Behrendorff, and Chawla picked up two wickets apiece. For his all-around show, Green grabbed the Player of the Match award.
