Yashasvi Jaiswal's double century, featuring 12 sixes and 14 fours, played a pivotal role as India set a challenging 557-run target for England to chase in the third Test at Rajkot.

After reaching his century (104) in the final session on Saturday, Jaiswal had to retire hurt. However, the young batter resumed his innings after the dismissal of Shubman Gill for 91, who missed a well-deserved century due to a mix-up with Kuldeep Yadav. Jaiswal, determined to make an impact, continued his aggressive batting, taking on the English bowlers all around the ground, and eventually securing his second double-century of the series. He achieved the milestone in 231 balls, and after surpassing the 500-run mark on the lead, India declared the innings at 556.
