As Yashasvi Jaiswal set the stage on fire with a 13-ball half-century in Match 56 of IPL 2023 between Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals, he propels himself to the second position in the list of fastest T20 fifties scored by Indians. Jaiswal started his carnage with a 26-run first over where KKR skipper Nitish Rana had put himself forward to start the proceedings for KKR with the new ball. Jaiswal lit up that over with three fours and two sixes, accompanied by a double.

Jaiswal eventually remained unbeaten to guide RR home with an unconquered innings of sheer brilliance. He scored 98 runs off 47 deliveries at a jaw-dropping strike rate of 208.51. His innings was studded with 12 fours and five sixes.

Yuvraj Singh leads the list with his 12-ball sensational half-century scored during the 2007 T20 World Cup against England. That iconic innings of his was largely shaped by the memorable over off Stuart Broad whom he hit for six straight sixes to exert utter dominance over the English side.

On the other hand, KL Rahul's blistering half-century off 14 deliveries which came against Delhi Daredevils in Kings XI Punjab's opening encounter of IPL 2018 stands third on the list. Rahul eventually got out on 51 runs, scored off 16 deliveries, a knock that not only helped his team cruise past the target set by Delhi but also earned him the coveted 'Player of the Match' award. His innings was decorated with six fours and four sixes.

Robin Uthappa and Yusuf Pathan both scored their fastest fifties off 15 deliveries. Yusuf Pathan brought it up against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the year 2014, while playing for Kolkata Knight Riders. Chasing a target of 161, Pathan led the charge for KKR, as he went on to score 72 runs off just 22 deliveries, courtesy of five fours and seven sixes.

Uthappa, on the other hand, claimed the feat in a Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 match between Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, played in the year 2011. Representing Karnataka, he scored 64 runs off 20 deliveries during which, he notched up his half-century off just 15 deliveries. His innings included six fours and five sixes but his heroics, however, went in vain as Andhra got the better of Karnataka by 36 runs.
