India will face West Indies for the Third time in the five-match T20I series on Tuesday, August 8, at the Providence Stadium in Guyana, the same venue that hosted the second T20I.

India will be coming into the contest on the back of two successive defeats in the first two T20I games. Failing to chase 150 to not defending 152, summarizes India’s journey so far in the two matches. Tilak Verma has been phenomenal in his debut series, as he has so far aggregated 90 runs in the two games and has struck at 142.86, while he averages 45.

He also smacked his maiden fifty in the second game, scoring 51 runs off 41 balls that included six boundaries. In the bowling department, Chahal and Hardik Pandya have both aggregated 4 wickets each in the two games and they are expected to do well in the coming matches. India will look to bounce back the winning ways to avoid a rare series defeat.

West Indies, on the other hand, will be heading into the game on the back of Nicholas Pooran’s masterclass. Consequently, they won the second T20I to lead the series by 2-0. Pooran has been brilliant with the bat, as he has aggregated 108 runs in two games with 67 coming off his bat in the second game off just 40 balls that included six fours and four maximums, respectively.

In the bowling department, Romario Shepherd has picked up four wickets while Akeal Hossain has picked up three so far at an economy of 5.75. West Indies would look to continue their winning momentum in order to win the series.
