Nothing has been going Pakistan cricket team and its captain Sarfaraz Ahmed’s way as fans are taking out their frustrations on him for Men in Green’s seventh consecutive defeat to arch-rivals India on June 16 by 89 runs via DLS method. Sarfaraz’s words in the press conference on the defeat have fueled the fire as well, since he refused to blame the senior players, despite it being obvious.
He was also caught on camera yawning a couple of times during the match as the teams came out to bat after the first rain interruption and even former Pakistani cricketers took a dig at the wicketkeeper’s fitness calling him unfit and compared him to many of his counterparts in the tournament. However, one person went too far and crossed a line when it comes to heckling professional players.
Fans come to Sarfaraz’s support after a person calls him nasty words
In the said video, Sarfaraz Ahmed is in a mall in England, where a supposed “fan” is making a video and stops the Pakistan captain, who also has his kid with him. The person calls him fat and also asks him why he is obese like a pig. Sarfaraz walked away as the fan continued to criticize him over the same point.
The video was posted on Twitter and while many fans came out to criticize the national team captain, even making memes. But there were some fans who came to his rescue as well and were angry with the person in the video for the harsh words used for the leader of the Men in Green.
No manners. No respect. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour. Yes the performances have not been good but the players don’t deserve such abuse #CWC19 pic.twitter.com/o8rMNTVGXI

Meanwhile, the heat has been turned up on the Pakistan team as they prepare for their next match in the World Cup against South Africa on June 23 at Southampton. They need to win this match in order to keep their hopes of a semi-final qualification alive and make it into the top four. It remains to be seen if some sweeping changes are made in the playing XI of the side.

Every game is played with a great deal of sportsmanship. Yes, cricket is a religion in India and Pakistan & both teams have lost sometime, somewhere. Be humane for a change, they have families. He made it as a captain, would you even qualify to be in the team? #SarfarazAhmed
