The Indian cricket team has begun it’s England tour on a great note. They won the T20I series against the hosts 2-1 providing the ideal start to this long, gruelling tour. And how did they do it? They’ve got there in grand style in a high scoring decider. Further, India has never lost in a 3-match T20I series.

England posted 198 runs on the board batting first in the game. The pitch was a great one to bat and it wasn’t going to be tough for India to chase that down. They got there in a very convincing fashion with 8 balls to spare in the innings. With this win, Team India’s dominance in white-ball cricket continues all around the globe. It was Rohit Sharma who was the architect of India’s win in the game. The classy right-hander notched up his third T20I century at Bristol to take his team home.

Rohit Sharma was a delight to watch

Rohit Sharma has now equalled the most centuries in T20I cricket. When Rohit Sharma bats like this, you would only want to be a spectator. Rohit hit some great shots on both sides of the ground and left many in awe with his stroke-making. The 31-year-old has scored 100 runs in just 56 balls helping India clinch the series.

Apart from Rohit, Virat Kohli played a vital innings in the chase. The skipper scored 43 off 29 balls. Hardik Pandya with 33 off 14 with the bat towards the end and also a 4-wicket haul in the game was the star for India in the game. The Indian fans were overjoyed with the results of the game.

Many of the current and ex-cricketers didn’t leave the opportunity to praise Rohit Sharma for his fabulous knock. In the course of his innings, Rohit hit 5 massive sixes as well as 11 fours to help India bag a very convincing victory. Here is how the cricketers reacted to Rohit’s knock on Twitter:
